The location is pretty close to highway 417 and the huge Kanata Shopping Centre (probably 1.5-Km long.) Can’t say if a good proxy for Ottawa itself, 20+ Km to downtown Ottawa. Ample parking, an outside grill area available. The (indoor) pool access is by reservation, only the occupant(s) of one room at a time, 45 minutes starting at the top of the hour. You may get extra stuff (towels, soap etc.) from the reception. Room is serviced on request, once per stay. They even provide bags to carry the stuff to your room, for example. Pandemic adjustments: - Masks required inside - Breakfast either a picnic bag, or a warm item (pancakes / omelette / egg and sausage sandwich) + yogurt, coffee/tea.
MARRIOT KANAA TV
Two Queen-room, large, clean, well lit, and a well-designed bathroom (a totally new – for me - drainage style in the shower.) Fully equipped kitchen, a good selection of TV channels (Netflix and Amazon Prime supported – you must log in with your personal account), comfortable beds. It’s a new-ish building, in very good condition. …įirst trip out of town resembling (a bit) the pre-pandemic world. Still, everything worked and these were cosmetic issues. Shims were exposed, usb plugs were sunken in their sockets, fixtures had exposed holes. The only bad things was that you could tell the building was rushed in construction. The AC can be very cold so we turned it off when we were in the suite. They delivered extra towels in a bag and helped with the TV issue right away. If you do use Chromecast I recommend plugging directly into HDMI 01 and select Chromecast to control the audio as the TV remote won't function. We use our Chromecast when we travel but the TV had connection issues. Lots of kitchen utensils but you need a dish scrubber. The closets too had space like home to put things away. The bathroom was satisfactory as it had a standing shower, lots of light and storage space. Their dining hall was open and you could eat there as well as takeaway.
